Mastromandorlo is a dessert made entirely of ground almonds, honey and orange juice. Covered with white chocolate and other ground almonds it is typically Christmas. The other ingredients are eggs, sugar, butter, drops of orange liqueur and vanilla.
Its production is completely handmade without additives or other thickeners.
Thanks to the delicate taste of almonds and honey, Mastromandorlo can be served with a passito, a sweet wine or marsala. As an alternative you can choose warmer drinks like a black or green tea.
