Olive oil…IN or OUT? Find out why you should include olive oil in your daily diet.

Olive oil is a vegetable fat. “Fat” is not word we usually like, since it gives a negative idea because it reminds of junk food full of sugar.

The olive oil, though, is a monounsaturated fat which thanks to its molecular structure does not allow the breakdown of the triglycedes, even when it reaches high temperature. For these reason, inItaly it is common to use olive oil to fry food.

It is a very good fat, if we consider its propeties against cardio vascular deseases or against cholesterol.

Every year in London many food fairs and events are run and this year we chose to take part to one of the most important and followed by people in the industry: Bella Vita Expo 2017.

The fair has taken place from the 18th of June to the 20th of June: three days of interviews, show cooking and Q&As. People from the Food&Beverage industry had the chance to connect, grow, export and show themselves.

Almonds. Nice things to know about almonds and their history.

Origin. Almonds come from Asia, in fact, it is a very common fruit in Russia, Japan and China. It was brought for the first time in Sicily, by the Ancient Greeks that used to trade with populations from the East. The almond, now, is a real icon in South Italy and in Apulia. The word comes form the Latin amygdalus which maybe refers to the ancient name of the Goddess Cibale; it means Great Mother.
